• Extended Day Program



    Policies:
    Policies regarding before and aftercare programs include social distancing, PPE usage, cleaning and disinfection requirements, as well as risk of COVID-19 transmission considered.There will not be a mixing of cohort groups in order to maintain the limited exposure to COVID-19.

    The Extended Day Program will be composed of self contained cohorts in separate locations. These cohorts and separate locations will include:

         - Prekindergarten
         - Kindergarten
         - Grades 1-4 
         - Grades 5-8

    Before School Care

    Arrival 

    Students arriving for Before School Care (7:00 am - 7:30 am) will use the designated entrance below.. 

         - Prekindergarten
         - Kindergarten (Use Kindergarten Entrance - Door C)
         - Grades 1-4 (Use Parish Center Entrance - Door A)
         - Grades 5-8 (Use Parish Center Entrance - Door A)

    Students will be signed at the appropriate entrance. Students will have their temperatures taken at the appropriate entrance prior to entry into the PreKindergarten, Kindergarten or the main school building for Before Care.  All individuals must be wearing proper PPE (masks). Masks will be provided to those who do not have one of their own. Anyone who has a temperature of 100°F or greater or has a positive response on the screening questionnaire or is exhibiting any signs/symptoms of COVID-19 will be sent to home. These individuals will be referred to a healthcare provider and provided with resources on COVID-19 testing.

    The areas used will be cleaned and disinfected prior to and after each program.  Programs will adhere to social distancing, PPE usage, cleaning and disinfection requirements.  

    Aftercare 

    Students entering the Aftercare will have their temperatures retaken.  Anyone who has a temperature of 100°F or greater or is exhibiting any signs/symptoms of COVID-19 will be sent to an isolated area supervised by a designed staff member while awaiting transport home. All of these individuals will be referred to a healthcare provider and provided with resources on COVID-19 testing.The isolation area will be in a safe contained area equipped to make the individual comfortable and safe until they can be transported home.  The designated staff member will be wearing PPE protection that includes a face mask, shield, gloves, and lab coat.

    When picking up a child from the aftercare program, please call the school office from the parking lot. Students will be escorted to the door used for arrival. Parents will bring students to their vehicles.
