My name is Ashley Romand and I am the Principal here at Mater Christi School. Mater Christi School and its community has become in many ways a second family to me. This is my fifth year at Mater Christi. Previously, I was a Kindergarten and UPK teacher here at MCS. Mater Christi allowed me the opportunity to fulfill my childhood dream of being a teacher and inspiring students. I went to both Cazenovia College and the College of Saint Rose where I received my B.S. in Dual Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I then continued at Saint Rose where I acquired my M.S. in Literacy B-12. Later, I also attended SUNY New Paltz, where I obtained my certification in administration. I love to be involved at school. I am often found helping out with various activities, including; PTO, hosting afterschool activities, and working on the schools accreditation program. In my personal free time I enjoy many outdoor activities such as camping and hiking, bowling, attending sporting events and my most favorite, reading!
