Hello! My name is Dorothy Alix, and I am absolutely thrilled and blessed to
be joining the Pre-K team at Mater Christi this year. I would like to tell you all little bit about myself. I was born and raised in the Capital Region. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Literacy Birth- grade 6, both from The College of Saint Rose. I have three years of teaching experience at the preschool level and numerous years teaching at the elementary school level.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to
very warm places, and playing with my two cats. I have one daughter named
Emily who is a nurse at Albany Medical Center and is also my traveling partner. I love all flavors of ice cream and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. I have always wanted to learn a new language so recently I have been learning Spanish for fun.
