Emily Shoop

Fourth Grade

My name is Emily Shoop and I love teaching 4th grade! I have a B.S. in Childhood and Special Education from the College of Saint Rose and a M.S in Literacy for Birth-Grade 12 from SUNY Albany. I’ve been teaching for more than 10 years in upper elementary school in the Capital Region. In school I have enjoyed running the cooking, coding and drama clubs. One of my favorite things about working at MCS is that I used to be a student here! I attended St. Catherine of Siena (as it was then called) for middle school and graduated in 2004. My Catholic faith is a central part of my life and so helping students prepare for prayer services, sacraments, processions, and other liturgical events is a wonderful honor for me. Outside of school I love to cook, craft, read and hike. I have three children and our family enjoys playing board games and reading together.
