My name is Kelley Powers and I am excited to be joining the Mater Christi community this fall as the UPK teacher.  Prior to relocating to Albany, I taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade at a Catholic School in Massachusetts.  I have to say teaching Pre-K brings me the most joy as I get to watch the young students blossom into emergent problem-solvers and learners.  I received my Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego, and my Master’s degree in Education from Lesley College.

I am married with 4 adult children and 1 dog.  I love spending time up to our camp in the Adirondacks where I enjoy trail biking, hiking, kayaking and cross country skiing.  Some of my hobbies include applique quilting, cricuting, making potholders, reading and baking.  Baking is probably my favorite hobby as I have a huge sweet tooth!
