Laurie Kirchman
Library & Creative Arts
Mrs. Kirchman's journey to MCS began as a Virginia native and traversed the Eastern United States through Louisiana, Illinois and Florida until her family settled in Albany, NY. Graduate studies at De Paul University prepared her for many years of youth workforce development programming on farms and in kitchens. She joined the MCS team as a substitute Lunch Lady and substitute Art Teacher before accepting the invitation during COVID to work as the Creative Arts Teacher and then Librarian. The alphabet, perennial flower gardens, scrap quilts, ham and cheese croissants, tacos, singing, oceans, family and friends are a few of her favorite things.
