Maria Soledad Pauli

Spanish

¡Hola! I am Maria Soledad Pauli de Rodriguez, but everybody calls me “Señora Paulí ”. I teach Spanish from K to grade 8 at MCS.  I received my Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree  with a concentration on teaching English as a second language from the National University of Languages from Cordoba, Argentina. My family and I left Argentina twenty-four years ago to live the American Dream and settled down in New York State. I am forever grateful to all my teachers, whom home in Argentina,  taught me English as a second language and opened new horizons for me. I have been involved in teaching foreign languages for more than thirty- five years now. I love being part of the MCS community! I feel honored to help students learn Spanish, transitioning from Lower to Middle School while facilitating the development of language skills and embarking them in a linguistic journey that has numerous benefits! Learning a foreign language brings intercultural connections and more social opportunities; it broadens your perspective, helps you stay focused and improves cognitive sharpness. During my free time, I like listening to music, singing, dancing, reading, knitting, cooking, riding a bike, swimming and walking with my dog Truco. I also enjoy attending theatrical plays and watching movies. I treasure being in contact with nature and  basking in the sun. My family, my friends, my students, the MCS teachers, staff and community mean the world to me.
